Why Am I Completing Online Training?

Our online training covers all of the basics that you need to know before you start work as a housekeeper or cleaner, with us. It is essential, even for those who have experience in similar jobs.

  • Germs & Bacteria Training
  • Cleaning Training (products, equipment, etc)
  • Tidying Training (what is tidying and how to do it)
  • Laundry & Folding training (this is a new skill for many housekeepers!)
  • A bit more about Get You.

You can’t be assigned clients without completing both online and in-person training with us. 

I finished the Online Training, what now?

If you successfully finished the training, meaning that you passed the answers, you will then be invited to complete paid in-person training with one of our housekeeper trainers.

Key points about our training:

  1. We train in ACTUAL homes. This means a house, apartment, or townhouse.
  2. You need to arrive at the scheduled time, not early or late.
  3. No, it is not permitted to bring a friend
  4. Your work during the paid training will determine if you are offered a job with us.
  5. You need to wear Job Clothes (enclosed shoes, cleaning-friendly clothes).

We process payment for training at the commencement of work with our clients.

We’re here to help you, but it is important that you become familiar with our process to ensure you have a smooth start with clients.

Common Questions: 

  • Is Get You an actual business? Yes, we are. But, you are working in a home. Do not arrive at an unscheduled time. We have been operating since 2011!
  • Why do you not have an office? Our admin team works from home to keep costs down – our primary workplace is our client’s homes!
  • I am experienced, why do I need training? We want all employees to be familiar with our way of doing things. We also want to check your work, in person.
  • Training is soooo far from me! Unfortunately, we need to offer training where our trainers are. This is a once-off requirement.
  • I need money today, can you pay me cash? No. Our trainers do not carry cash and we will not process pay on the day. We do not accept, use, or condone cash work. Our business pays all taxes, insurances, and otherwise. We process payroll on Tuesdays for all staff employed by Get You.
    1. The hourly (tiered) rate is between $31.25– $33.75 for TFN and $32.50 – $35 for ABN. Both PLUS Superannuation & Public Liability Insurance.
    2. The hourly training rate is $30, which will be included in your first pay after you start working.
