We will gather your personal information as required to provide successful ongoing services to your home.

Our records are stored electronically and only accessible by authorised employees of Get You. All of our employees are covered by strict non-disclosure agreements (this includes Head Office staff and Housekeepers).

We maintain a record of any verbal, written or electronic communication with our clients and employees. This is stored safely within our system and maintained for the purposes of historical records, service improvement, and bookkeeping.

Housekeepers Personal Information

We will provide you with your assigned helpers' name, brief background, and contact information.

We cannot provide any records pertaining to their past employment, Police Check or Visa status or other personal information. This is because we employ the helper and providing personal information to a third party is against several employment laws.

Agreement

Covering the works provided by Helpers and Organisers supplied by Get You (Operating Under Audnat Workforce ACN 645770083)

Terms

There are no terms to this agreement. Both parties may end the relationship at any time. GY will recover any outstanding invoice totals.

Helpers & GY

GY is one of the few domestic services agencies to legally employ helpers.

Prior to being hired by GY all helpers are subject to assessment interviews, reference/police/visa checks, and training.

GY cannot pass on the results of the above to clients. This is due to privacy legislation.

Hiring & Referral

For a period of 2 years following introduction, you may not hire or on-refer any helper provided by GY. Breaches of this policy will result in GY pursuing a fee of $2500.

Tasks Covered

Your helper will work from the task list that is unique to your home. This list is generated after you complete the Task Form.

Helper duties may include cleaning, tidying, folding, laundering, ironing, vacuuming, mopping, grocery shopping, sweeping, and cooking.

Helper duties cannot include heavy lifting, unsafe climbing, outdoor gardening, or the use of equipment they are not trained to use (this is a Work Safe mandate).

Damages

You are required to notify us within 7 days following an incident by providing a written report (which includes photos). After this is supplied we may request that the item is sent to us for inspection. Liability will then be discussed.

Larger claims (over $500.00) will be handled via our insurance agent and are subject to their procedures and requirements.

Payment

Our invoice terms are non-negotiable. All clients are required to pay on or before the invoice due date.

We raise invoices on Sundays at the end of each worked week.
We issue these invoices on Mondays.
All clients must sign up with our direct debit system via IntegraPay.

Failure to settle any outstanding balance owed to GY within 30 days will result in the debt being referred to a reputable collection agency.

Any collection or legal fees incurred in recovering this debt shall be added to the outstanding invoice totals.


Serviced Hours

Helpers are engaged to provide the tasks requested in your Task Form for the allotted time.

Normal hours - 7 am - 7 pm Monday through Friday.
Penalty hours -
After 7 pm attracts a penalty rate of 120%
Weekend work is not permitted
Public Holidays attract a rate of double time and a half
Minimum shift payable - 3 hours Helpers must be paid for a minimum of 3 hours per shift even if you send them home early.

Holidays

If you go away you are not obliged to pay your helper to work. If your holiday is to be lengthy you will be asked to consider reduced hours for a period of time during your absence. You must communicate your holiday plans with GY a minimum of two weeks in advance.

Lockouts

If your helper turns up to work and is unable to access the property you will be charged a fee equivalent to the minimum shift of 3 hours.

Cancellations

Cancellations should be communicated to your helper and GY. Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled service will attract a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum shift of 3 hours.

Illness

If someone in your home is unwell you must communicate this with your helper before they arrive. They may choose to work or reschedule. 24 hours notice is required to cancel.

Safe Work

Helpers are covered by WorkCover insurance against injury and an unsafe environment. Please consider that your home is their place of work and GY is obliged to provide all employees with a safe working environment. If you do not provide safe conditions we will necessarily withdraw services.

Safe Working Conditions
You must minimise unsafe conditions in your home and communicate with your helper about any potential hazards.
Stairways/walkways must be kept clear
You must minimise any exposure to bodily fluids or infectious materials
- This may include syringes, needles, medicinal equipment, used tissues, used sanitary products, spilt blood or other bodily fluids.
Should a client not dispose of a used syringe or needle in a proper manner (i.e. into a sharps container) they will be held financially liable to pay for Infectious diseases testing and retrieval.

Domestic Animals
Clients must communicate with their helper about the temperament and behaviour of any domestic animals on the property.
Unsafe behaviour by a pet (such as jumping up, pouncing, biting or scratching) is not acceptable. If an animal displays these behaviours they must be locked away from the helper while they are working on the premises. This goes for all domestic animals.

Bullying Behaviour
Helpers must be able to work in an environment free from bullying. Bullying is not an acceptable part of GY work culture and will be dealt with by the head office, possibly the withdrawal of services. Examples of bullying behaviour include:
abusive, insulting or offensive language or comments
unjustified criticism or complaints
setting unreasonable timelines or constantly changing deadlines/expectations.
changing working arrangements to deliberately inconvenience a worker
